Introduced to both web design and web development during my sophomore year high school, I discovered a stronger passion for design, steering me towards pursuing it as a career. A year later after graduating, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, offering me an opportunity to re-explore web development. With ample time on my hands during lockdown and a desire for a revitalized portfolio, I eagerly delved back into learning web development. While admiring the works of others, I stumbled upon a community showcasing award-winning websites, which introduced me to the world of WebGL and its capacity to push the boundaries of the web.
Crafting an interactive and immersive website that meets and exceeds client expectations demands a meticulous process. To achieve this, I've honed a methodical approach that begins with in-depth client consultations. By gaining a comprehensive understanding of their vision, goals, and target audience, I lay a solid foundation. Throughout this journey, clear communication and collaboration with clients remain pivotal, ensuring the final product not only meets but surpasses their expectations, delivering a website that resonates and captivates their audience.
In the initial phase of art direction, I shape the project's visual direction and narrative. Through comprehensive research, client collaboration and consultation, I define the project's essence, encompassing its tone, mood, and overarching aesthetic. This stage sets the foundation, establishing a clear vision that guides the subsequent design process.
Moving into the design phase, meticulous attention is dedicated to crafting the visual elements that breathe life into the project. Typography, color palettes, imagery, and layout are curated to align with the established art direction. Each design choice is purposeful, aiming to create a visually engaging and cohesive experience for the audience.
Within the interaction stage, my focus centers on elevating user experiences through intuitive interactions and captivating animations. I delve into the intricacies of user interface design, crafting dynamic interactions that enhance engagement and usability. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as WebGL and GSAP, I integrate seamless transitions, engaging micro-interactions, and animated elements throughout the interface. This phase prioritizes not only functionality but also the creation of an immersive and enjoyable browsing experience for the audience.
Transitioning into development, the crafted designs are brought to life through coding and technical implementation. Applying the latest web technologies and best practices, I transform the visual concepts into a functional and pixel perfect responsive website. The emphasis here is on ensuring a smooth user experience and good performance across various devices and platforms.
